Cycling trips are perfect for those who enjoy exploring the country in a very special way. Experiencing the world beyond the borders of holiday resorts and learning about the destination through local places and residents with their stories of life, will make your holidays unforgettable. There is no better way to feel the heartbeat of a country than through cycling trips. You’ll come across animals and hidden villages, meet village’s chefs, spend time in the nature and have the finest look in the daily life of locals.

Peter and Musa left Senegambia at 8 o’clock and headed for Tanji village, where they stopped at the place, where people prepare firewood to smoke fish. They also saw how they place fish on a net, which is made out of wire and surrounded by bricks. They walked with their bikes to the beach, where they saw women collecting fish from the fishing boats that arrived with their daily catch. Peter was fascinated by seeing vultures eating the fish heads. Then they started cycling again to Sanyang, passing from Brikama to Yundum. They made a short stop at the market, where they sell livestock at the end of Brikama town. In Yundum they stopped at a community nursery school built by an Englishman, who died in 2013. Since then there are only 2 teachers left in the school and there has been no further development. We would like to encourage volunteers and sponsors to help this school by paying school fees for children or offering any other help for the school. After spending some time at the school they cycled to Abuko Nature Reserve, where they saw monkeys, lion, cheetah and hyenas. They had about one hour walk in the forest full of birds and they went to Tabokoto village to have traditional Gambian lunch, Benachin. Peter and Musa cycled back to Senegambia at around 3 o’clock. It was an amazing day.
