On Friday, 27 June 2014, for the last time in this school year, we said hello to our friends from Radece kindergarten. Yet again we spent some unforgettable moments together using the video application of FINI Institute of Radeče, which connects children all over the world. Our Internet connection was working properly this time and our electricity supply was undisturbed as well. This made the whole experience even nicer and more exciting.

We sang the national anthem and one Gambian song in the local language of Wolof, introduced the colours of the Gambian flag and their meaning, sang the Slovenian song and we showed them a huge Slovenian flag which hangs in our kindergarten here in The Gambia.

The children in Radece sang the Slovene anthem and introduced their hometown of Radece. They were curious about the weather here in Africa because they saw all of us using fans. It is extremely hot nowadays here in The Gambia! The temperatures exceed 40 degrees every day.

Finally, we finished off by singing “If you’re happy”, waved goodbye and sent kisses to each other. The children were quite sad to say goodbye this time.

We are going to meet new friends next year. For now, we’re going to keep our new friends’ hometown a secret. We can’t wait to say hello to them!
